Since the 1990s, and the creation of the « Pêcheries Celtiques », Bruno Gaonarc’h and his team have been trading mostly locally. In 1994, the store is brought up to the new EU standards and set up in Anse du Lin, in Concarneau.
The 22 people forming the company today have become over time specialists in fish trading by sharing the same taste for local coastal fishing and high-quality products.
Since 2013, Stiven Gaonarc’h, the founder’s son, has taken the company over and aims at developing it while still maintaining a family spirit. Experience and involvement are both key words describing the « Pêcheries Celtiques » culture.
Since the 90s, the fish that we sell come from Breton ports: Concarneau, Guilvinec, Saint-Guénolé, Douarnenez, Saint Quai Portrieux, Audierne, Erquy, Roscoff where our buyers move regularly to control the quality of the contributions.
With more than 95% of local production and a form of “intransigence” on our quality, we have become a reference in the coastal fishery and a specialist in certain species and fishing methods such as the sardine of Bolinche.
We have built relationships of trust with many companies, in France and internationally. Hailed for our professionalism, our responsiveness, and the quality of our products, many stores have followed us for many years. With this confidence, today is 8 million Euros in turnover and 1300 tons of fish delivered for 40% export.
The bacteriological quality of our products, water, ice and our material is validated monthly by the laboratory
LABOCEA.
Beyond the certifications, the whole team participates daily in the economic revaluation of products, the reprocessing and the valorization of fish waste.
